Antecedently Markoen Meijerink worked as a Director in a large Dutch IT-consulting company.

Danish Vice Prime Minister paid a visit
Bendt Bendtsen, Danish Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Economic and Business Affairs paid a visit at Guardia's technical department.
The Purpose of the visit was to show his support to the companies that are producing innovatory products. Companies just like Guardia.
The pleasant meeting ended with an enrolment of the Minister - he's now one of the many testpersons we are able to recognize.

IST Grand Prize Winner
Guardia won the ITS Grand Prize.

Guardia is chosen to be among the 20 finalists for the prestigous European IST Grand Prize and will exhibit the GCS at the European IST Prize Exhibition at the European Commission in Bruxelles on 30 November - 1 December 2005.
As Nominee for the European IST Prize, Guardia has successfully gone through the thorough, highly competitive evaluation procedure resulting in the quality label “Nominee for the European Grand IST Prize”.
The European Information Society Technologies Prize is the most distinguished award for groundbreaking products that represent the best of European innovation in Information Society Technologies.
Applications for the European IST Prize are assessed by the European IST Prize evaluation group, consisting of independent experts from 16 countries nominated by Euro-CASE and agreed by the European Commission.
Guardia at the ASIS International 2005 Exhibition in Orlando, USA
Guardia displayed the Guardia Control System during the ASIS International 51st Annual Seminar and Exhibit in Orlando – the world’s largest show dedicated to security. As one of the 860 exhibiting companies featuring the latest security technology and innovations, Guardia’s exhibition-team experienced an overwhelming interest in the cutting-edge Guardia 3D and IR face recognition solution.
Guardia had the pleasure of exhibiting at the e-NOID ’05 conference, the first two-day symposium on Nordic-Baltic biometric issues in identity documents, held in Oslo on 28th and 29th of April 2005 at the Holmen Fjordhotell.
The main objective of this symposium was to establish a common forum for Nordic and Baltic authorities concerned with the usage of biometrics in identity documents as well as in other usage.
